Local Hyperthermia
The purpose of treating cancer is to attack and render the
cancer cells defenseless without damaging the surrounding
healthy tissue. Local hyperthermia treatment is a wellestab-
lished oncological method with a simple basic principle:
If a rise in temperature to 42° C can be obtained for
one hour within a cancer tumor, the cancer cells will be
destroyed. Primary malignant tumors have a bad blood
circulation which make them more sensitive to changes in
temperature.

At Humlegaarden we have several hyperthermia machines
which work by different principles and are used for a variety of
cancers. Our latest instrument was developed by physics
professor Dr. Andras Szasza from Eötvös University in
Budapest.

The treatment consists of placing disc electrodes with a dia-meter of 17 cm on both sides of the body of the cancer tumor.
Usually, the patient is treated with 13,6 MHz radio frequency
waves for 1-1½ hour every second day. 10 such treatments
are recommended.

Whole Body Hyperthermia
The West German radiologist and internal medical doctor
Martin Heckel has developed a treatment method where the
entire body is being  irradiated in a heat insulated treatment
cabin with infrared rays, emitted  in an highly intensive amount
from 4 halogen wolfram lamps each of 300 watt.

The intensity of the treatment is individually adjusted for each
patient, and for those who are able to tolerate it, a body
temperature of more than 40° C, can be achieved. The
treatment works as a sweating treatment and has proved to be
a great immune system stimulator for cancer patients.
Moreover, it is especially effective for painful arthritic
conditions, chronic allergies, asthma, circulatory diseases,
chronic inflammation, neurological damage from polio and
cerebral haemorrhage, as well as increasing the body's own
resistance power.
